Welcome to 2nd Grade at Islands Elementary! In 2nd grade we will work hard and learn many new things. We study phonics and reading with Fundations, we build a LOVE for reading with Accelerated Reader and reading groups. We also learn how to be responsible and successful in school.
About Me
My name is Evaia Castellanos and I am a second grade teacher. This is my 12th year teaching. I received a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education from Arizona State University in 2004 and a Master's degree from Northern Arizona University. I have been married for 15 years and have been blessed with three wonderful boys (Johnathan 9th grade, Joshua 7th grade and Jonah kindergarten).
